Discover a simple process designed to help you grow spiritually.

Our goal as a church, is to help you move around the bases of the Life Development Process. This goal is reflected in our purpose statement, which is:

“to bring people to Jesus, develop them to Christ-like maturity, equip them for their ministry in the church and their life mission in the world, in order to magnify God.”

In a very simple way, the Christian growth process can be summed up by moving around the bases of membership, maturity, ministry , mission, and magnification.

Our Life Development Classes are designed to meet you where you are on your spiritual journey and move you around the bases. Classes are offered on a regular basis,so please contact Eric Light, our Program Director to see when our next class is scheduled.

What is the Life Development Process?

The Life Development Process is a system to enable you to reach new heights in your spiritual development. Even a casual reading of the Bible reveals God’s desire for us to be ever-growing, ever-changing, striving to scale the mountain of spiritual maturity. The pinnacle is Christ likeness, so be geared up for a long and exciting climb!

If you’re not into climbing, let me try another analogy. Imagine a baseball game. As a church, the Life Development Process is designed to get you out of the stands, into the game, up to bat, and moving around the bases. Authentic Christians are not spectators, they’re doers! Genuine Christianity is learning, doing, becoming... and the Life Development Process will help you get there.

How do I know which class is right for me?

Class 101 - Exploring Membership

Class 101, Exploring Membership, is where you learn about the unique vision and values of O.U.M.C. It's also a great place to meet some of our staff, and other new folks in our church family. Learn more about the O.U.M.C. family of ministries and how you can get plugged in! This is everyone's first step around the bases.

Class 201 - Next Step

Our Next Step class will help you to individually assess your current spiritual health, and will highlight areas for potential growth. Using Biblical teaching as well as a personal spiritual inventory, you will discover your next step to spiritual maturity!

Class 301 - Network- Spiritual Gifts Discovery

Network is an illuminating spiritual gifts discovery class that will help you discover your God-given gifts, temperment, and style so that you can live out the design God has for your life. Learn how to say "yes" to God's plan for you and "no" to the distractions that drain and exhaust you. There is nothing more exciting or rewarding than to partner with God in a ministry that helps others!

Class 401 - Becoming A Contagious Christian

Jesus has instructed all of his followers to be willing to share with others what they have received. Our faith in Christ is our most precious gift, and we are called to be prepared to share that gift with others wwho do not yet know Christ. Our Becoming A Contagious Christian Class will equip you in the delicate art of sharing your story about how Jesus has changed your life. Learn about the different styles of faith sharing, and how one of these fits your personality.
